hey people XDsorry i couldn't make it more the 2nd outing, i hope you all had fun :D.so nicole and i was discussing about having chalet at the end of the year. So this are some plans we have if we are having one.We actually have 4 choices:Coasta Sands(Downtown East)Coasta Sands(Pasir Ris)Aranda Country ClubAloha Resorts.so the details of each chalet before you decide.Coasta Sands(Downtown East)$80 per night, off peak- Fully air-conditioned
- Twin beds with 2 pull-out beds
- Attached bathroom
- Television Set
- DVD Player
- Refrigerator
- Hot Water Flask
- Towels
--if we are getting this, we plan to book 2 rooms to separate the guys and girls at night, although if you all don't mind sharing(and saving), we can always squeeze into 1 room(4beds).--Pros:It's right inside downtown east so we'll have lots of things to do there - ehub, arcade, movie, bowling, k-box, mac, KFC etc etc.Small, cosy AND cheap. Fully air-con too.Cons:If we book 1 room it might be too small for many people (which i doubt so anyway)No separate rooms so have to book 2 if we want separate room.Coasta Sands Pasir RisI can't get the price on the net. but i'm guessing around $100++ - $130++.Premier- Single-storey
- 2 Single beds with 2 pull-out beds
- Fully air-conditioned
- Towels
- Television Set
- Electric jug
- Refrigerator
- Attached bathroom
Duplex- Double-storey
- Hall, ground floor with ceiling fan
- 1 bedroom, upper floor, air-conditioned
- Towels
- 2 single beds (upper floor)
- 2 mattresses (ground floor)
- Television Set (ground floor)
- Electric jug
- Refrigerator
- Attached bathroom
Pros:Bigger space compared to downtown east.More quietNearer to pasir ris park (can cycle, blade and the beach etc.)Can separate boys and girls for duplex with boys taking the non air-con first storey(with mattress) and girls taking the 2nd.Cons:More expensive, no air-con for duplex 1st storeySame number of beds(4)Mattresses are bad.Further away from downtown (although a walkable distance).Still have to share a room for premier unless we book 2(expensive)Aloha Resort Garden Terrace $140 off peak per night- a living room set with TV & games table; dining area;
- 2 air-conditioned bedrooms with 6 beds (2 single and 2 double-deck), wardrobes, dressers, bedside tables & wall fans;
- 2 toilets/bathrooms with shower heater;
- BBQ pit and a fully equipped kitchen.
Pros:A lot of space: living room, kitchen, 2 toilets, 2 rooms6 beds and 2 rooms so can separate boy-girl.Not that expensiveCons:A long walk from downtown east and pasir ris parknot fully air-con (living room etc.)a bit too quiet and too dark and scary at night.Aranda Country Club$150 for members, $200 for NTUC member and $350 for public.i'm not sure who have aranda membership, but nicole's mum have NTUC membership."Indulge in leisurely rewarding weekends or holiday getaways at the Aranda Country Club's Executive Suites. The Executive Suites comprise of 30 units of elegantly furnished and complete with modern amenities.
Each Executive Suite occupies approximately 1,550 sq feet of luxurious accommodation and equivalent to a standard executive flat, available for you and your family's enjoyment.
"To make your stay more enjoyable, we have included BBQ facilities and catering services specially tailored to your needs."
Every Executive Suite is fitted with two bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a large living room, balcony and a pantry."
Pros: It is near downtown east. New and fully air-con. Very furnished and modern compared to others 2 rooms Big living room with balcony and pantry
Cons: Might be a little expensive without aranda membership might have to squeeze since only 2 single bed and 1 double bed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Currently, we're thinking of booking aranda if we can find someone with aranda membership. If not, we can book it at $200 OR we can book 2 Coasta Sand downtown east rooms at $80 each.
After looking through, what suggestions or comments do you have? and please think about what you would prefer and tell us through tagboard, email or MSN (nicole and me). Thanks !
